Psalm 75:2 NASB

When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge with equity.
“When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge with equity”
Appointed time = “Moed” ( Hebrew) – a fixed time, appointment, appointed season, festival, solemn
assembly, appointed place
A. TIME CREATED BY GOD
Genesis 1:14

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.”
B. HISTORY – NATIONS/ CULTURES+ REDEMPTIVE DESTINY
Acts 17:26-27
26
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has
determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
27
so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He
is not far from each one of us.
Acts 17:30-31
30
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
31
because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom
He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it
tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not tarry.

14
Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of
life, and Sarah shall have a son.

I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her New Moons, her Sabbaths, all her
appointed feasts.
7 milestones – a redemptive revelation in progression
Jesus’ major life-events all happened during the seven feasts
Matthew 26:17-18
17
Now on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him,
“Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
18
And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at
hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.”
Matthew 26:26-28
26
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and
said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
27
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
28
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
D. CRITICAL WINDOWS
1. Grave importance of keeping it
Numbers 9:9-10, 13
9
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
10
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If any one of you or your posterity is unclean because of a
corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover.’
13
But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the Passover, that same person
shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of the Lord at its
appointed time; that man shall bear his sin.
I Corinthians 5:7-8 (fulfil the spiritual obedience)
7
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For
indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us.
8
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but
with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1 Samuel 15:22
22
So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the
voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.
2. Salvation day at stake
Romans 11:25-27
25
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in
your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has
come in.
26
And so all Israel will be saved; as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He will turn
away ungodliness from Jacob.
27
For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins."
Israel’s subject to the great Commission
Matthew 24:14
14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then
the end will come.
I Thessalonians 5:9
9
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Acts 13:48
48
Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as
had been appointed to eternal life believed.
Psalm 104:19
