Appointed time = “Moed” ( Hebrew) – a fixed time, appointment, appointed season, festival, solemn
assembly, appointed place
 
A. TIME CREATED BY GOD
Genesis 1:14

  Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.”  
 
B. HISTORY – NATIONS/ CULTURES+ REDEMPTIVE DESTINY
Acts 17:26-27

  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has
determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,

  so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He
is not far from each one of us.

  Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

  because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom

hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.”
 
Matthew 26:26-28

D. CRITICAL WINDOWS
1. Grave importance of keeping it
Numbers 9:9-10, 13

  Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If any one of you or your posterity is unclean because of a
corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover.’

shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of the Lord at its
appointed time; that man shall bear his sin. 
 
I Corinthians 5:7-8 (fulfil the spiritual obedience)

indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us.

2. Salvation day at stake

 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in
your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has
come in.

 And so all Israel will be saved; as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He will turn
away ungodliness from Jacob.

 For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins."
