Increase! Part 2
Where are the disciples in this story of Jesus healing the lepers? More than likely, they were right there with Jesus, watching faith in action. Even though they're not mentioned, they play a huge part in the story because they show us how sometimes we need to "be" before we "do." As we learn from God by "being," then we can get the instructions we need to start "doing."

Returns
The first of a four-part series on Jesus' Sermon on the Plain, Pastor Jason emphasizes that the mercy God shows us, we should show to other people. Like a fountain that has a source from which to overflow, so God equips us with sufficient mercy and love to make an impact on the lives of others.

What is Heavier Than the Cross?
In this passage from Luke, Jesus requires his followers to reject even their own families to become wholehearted, extreme disciples. What Jesus tries to get across to them is that loving God should come before all else, that the spiritual cross we must bear--though it demands our commitment--is always much lighter compared to the weight of the world.

Limitless Grace
Pouting. It's what we do when we want our way. Like how Jonah pouted after God spared Ninevah...as if God shouldn't have forgiven them. We think we have God figured out and we have our own ideas about what's fair and just. But God can't be placed in a box. God's grace is limitless, without boundaries, without restraints.

Catching Vision
Has God given you a dream and vision for your life? Maybe it doesn't make sense right now. Maybe it's not popular. Maybe you're criticized and ridiculed like Joseph when God gave him a dream.

Addicted to Faithfulness
Addictions can be unhealthy and even destructive. But in the story of Daniel's persistence in prayer regardless of punishment, we find that being addicted to faithfulness and doing what's right in the eyes of God is a healthy addiction.

Committed to the Common Good
Teamwork--it's what gets big jobs done. And the big job set before us is building the Kingdom of God by reaching out to others with the love of Christ. We must do it together like the people who committed themselves to rebuilding the wall of the holy city of Jerusalem. No one could have accomplished it alone--they had to work together, side by side, brick by brick.
