Beautiful
Drawing from the story of Peter and John praying for the healing of the lame man at the gate called Beautiful on their way to the temple, we learn that within us is the power to restore and heal and comfort--the name of Jesus Christ in the form of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Jason explains 1) what you need, 2) what you got, and 3) what you do, with the ultimate conclusion that when Christ provides for our needs, we must respond fully and with joy, just as the lame man, in his devotion, leapt in praise of God and then went to pray with the two apostles.

Divided No Longer
The early church described in Acts 4 was made up of people who shared ONE HEART and ONE MIND. What would Christianity be like today if we stood that united in mission and vision? The body of Christ is called to do just that--supporting and loving each other.

Exalted Above All
Ascension--it means to rise or move upward. When Jesus ascended to heaven, he wasn't abandoning us to go to some far off place. He returned to the powerful presence of God and is with us even still, nearest in our hearts.

Disbelieving Joy
Just like a persistent teacher, Jesus demonstrates his resurrection to many witnesses, including the women at the tomb and the disciples. Still, having appeared to them, allowed them to touch his physically risen body, and even eaten with them, some still experience disbelieving joy--a joy that is tinged with disbelief, a hopeful yet skeptical joy.

Witness Life
What's the latest news? When Jesus appeared to the men on their way to Emmaus, thinking him a stranger, they shared with him the news of Jesus. It wasn't until they invited him to eat with them and be the host at their table that it was revealed that the stranger was actually the risen Jesus. It's past time that we share the news about Jesus with others as witnesses to the life we have in Christ.

REAL Life
"Why do you look for the living among the dead?" The angels at the tomb of Jesus ask this question of the women who expect to see the body of Jesus, but, to their surprise, he has risen from the dead. We ourselves are searching. We search for meaning in life, putting our hope in achievement, possessions and relationships, but all is dead compared to the meaning found in Jesus Christ.

REAL Outreach
We have a tendency to hide from God. Adam and Eve did it in the garden, and Zacchaeus does so when Jesus is in town in this scripture from the Gospel of Luke. Preferring to observe Jesus from his perch in a sycamore tree, Zacchaeus unexpectedly is sought out by Jesus for a life-changing encounter. This is REAL outreach--God seeking us out from our hiding places and inviting us to accept the challenge of the gospel so that our lives will never be the same again.

REAL Forgiveness
With God, there are no conditions to grace and forgiveness. No fine print. God, like the father in the parable of the lost son, comes running toward us even before we approach for forgiveness to embrace us and give us His best.
