The Two Sons - Going from NO to YES
Jesus told a story about two sons whose father asked them to help him. One refused and later agreed to help; the other said he would but didn't follow through. In context Jesus told this story to answer a question challanging His authority. In response He told three parables: The Two Sons is the first of the three. The Son's role is first to please the Father by odebience. Obedience to the Father means both saying Yes to Him then following through. Anyone can give lip service to God but even the one who at first rejects the Father then turns around and is obedient is more acceptable then the one who just gives lip service to the Father's will.

Can we trust in that?
