Jesus heals a man who needed to be healed both physically and spiritually. Four friends brought the man to Jesus for healing. These men were showing great compassion for their friend. There are people “carrying a stretcher for us” that we may receive healing. The men showed great persistence by finding a way to get their friend before Jesus. They used creativity in bringing their friend to Jesus. This was shown by going on the roof and lowering him down in front of Jesus. In making our faith visible, we need to show compassion, persistence, and creativity.
