 “How do I Grow?”
2 Corinthians 3:18

Key Verses: “But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”  2 Corinthians 3:18 (NAS)

“For God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NAS)

1. Maturity is God’s plan for each one of us, Philippians 1:6; 1 Peter 1:15-16.

2. Gospel/Biblical truth is a primary means of sanctification, John 17:17; 1 Peter 2:2; John 5:39; Luke 24; 2 Corinthians 3:18—4:6.

3. Imitation: more mature Christians model holiness for us, Philippians 4:8-9.

4. Gospel centered spiritual disciplines, 2 Corinthians 3:18.

5. Hard experiences, James 1; 1 Peter 1.  

6. Prayer, John 17:17. 

7. Fellowship, Hebrews 10:25.

What is koinonia?

1. Common inheritance – gospel, God, heaven.

2. Common service – we work together.

3. Common responsibility – to each other.

Deep spirituality means working through problems. Together.

Deep spirituality means helping. Together

Deep spirituality means admitting you are wrong. Together.

Deep spirituality means not stacking out your turf.  Together.

Deep spirituality means training others and the younger to do your job.  Together.
