Paul ministers to the people of Corinth for 18 months. He shares with the Jews in the city the message that Jesus is the Messiah, but when they reject his message, he goes to the Gentiles of the city. Paul receives a vision from God telling him, "I have many people in this city."
Paul is asked to expound upon his Gospel by the citizens of Athens. It is given on a large rock formation with a perfect view of the Parthenon . . . it was referred to as the "witness stand" of the Greek Gods. Paul contrasts his God with Zeus.
The church in Thessalonica versus the church in Beroea . . . one searched the Scriptures to determine the accuracy of Paul's claims that Jesus was the Messiah . . . the other got two letters to determine the validity of their faith.
