In Ephesians 2:8 Paul says grace is a “gift” from God. Paul could have chosen from three different Greek words meaning “gift” and he specifically chose the word ‘doma’ which means that it was a gift so magnificent that no matter how hard you tried or what you did or what you abstained from doing, you could never pay it back.
