The Power of the Gospel

The gospel is the great equalizer in that it is available to all. It is also the great enabler in that it is sufficient to empower and transform all who receive it.  There is no distinction of people within the Kingdom in terms of class or type of spirituality - we all receive the same salvation from the same Savior through the same process. The New Testament speaks of this salvation as being absolutely sufficient to fulfill its work within all of us!

1:1Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: 2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 3seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2 Peter 1:1-4 (NASB-U)
14And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another. 15But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God,
Romans 15:14-15 (NASB-U)
1:1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ephesians 1:1-3 (NASB-U)
13I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13 (NASB-U)
8See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. 9For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;
Colossians 2:8-10 (NASB-U)
7For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NASB-U)
