Guardrails: The Consumption Assumption

My middle child loves his stuff. He actually has “stashes,” like behind his bed and underneath the couch, where he hides his action figures, Legos, Pokémon cards, his little sister’s toys, and even used chewing gum! (If A&E ever decides to start a spinoff from their reality television show Hoarders, like “Tiny Hoarders,” we are in.) I believe the reason he hides his things is because he lacks trust. In a similar way, many of us struggle with trusting God when dealing with money and the stuff we spend it on.
