Gaining Control Over Your Thoughts, Feelings & Emotions

Gaining Control Over Your Thoughts, Feelings, & Emotions – The enemy wants to reduce your strength so you will faint in the day of adversity and he can “steal, kill and destroy” and get you off track of your destiny and what God has for you. He will especially attack your feelings, thoughts, and emotions. You must learn to take them captive by focusing on what God has said and what He has done. The victory is in Jesus’ finished work. You can control your thoughts and master your emotions for the glory of God. Find out more! It is true that we live in the world, but we do not fight from worldly motives. The weapons we use in our fight are not the world's weapons but God's powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds. We destroy false arguments; we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ. (2 Cor. 10:3-5, GNB)

6 Signs You Are Under Spiritual Attack... And What To Do About It!

6 SIGNS YOUR UNDER SPIRITUAL ATTACK… And What To Do About It!– Some over-emphasize the role of the devil and demons in their lives, but, nonetheless, spiritual warfare is real. That is abundantly clear in Scripture. We are charged to, “Put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Eph. 6:11) This Sunday, we’ll look at signs of spiritual attack in a person’s life and what they can do about it. Don’t neglect to find out how to break the enemy’s attack - and overcome in spiritual warfare! Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks. For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. (Eph. 6:11-12, GNB)

The Law of Faith

THE LAW OF FAITH– Many Christians endeavor to believe and exercise faith, but feel like – or act like – it is some kind of “magic formula” or “happenstance.” They are ignorant of, even skeptical of,the laws of faith(some even scoff at these principles). However, God has established set principles and standards by which faith works. As sure as the law of gravity, or electricity, the law of faith operates. What are these laws, or principles, that govern the operation of faith? Do you know them? Do you understand how they are designed to work? Don’t miss it - find out! And Jesus said, You say to Me, If You can do anything? Why, all things can be (are possible) to him who believes! (Mk. 9:23, Amp.) "What do you mean, 'If I can'?" Jesus asked. "Anything is possible if a person believes." (NLT)

The Big Question of Easter (and Life!)

The Big Question of Easter (and Life!) - Life is full of questions – some large, others small; some crucial, others inconsequential. The right questions will often determine the course of our lives, and define who we are, and who we become. However, there is one question that we all have to answer eventually. Oftentimes, people fill their lives with noise and busyness and activities, to avoid the Big Question – but when it all dies down the Question is still there. It waits to be pondered, and contemplated. In the end, everybody has to answer it. What is the Big Question? Find out this Sunday! A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool; you can spit at him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. (C. S. Lewis)

In The Day of Adversity: Be Strong In The Lord

In the Day of Adversity: Be Strong in the Lord! - In the “day of adversity,” the devil wants you to faint, turn coward, give up and quit. The key is to be strong – strong in the Lord (Eph. 6:10). What does that mean exactly? How do you do that? Sooner or later every believer discovers that the Christian life is a battleground, not a playground, and that he faces an enemy who, apart from the Lord, is much stronger than he is. Discover how to overcome by grace through faith! As Christians, we face three enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil (Eph. 2:1-3). Christ overcame the world (Jn.16:33; Gal. 6:14), and the flesh (Rom. 6:1-6; Gal. 2:20), and the devil (Eph. 1:19-23). In other words, as believers, we do not fight for victory — we fight from victory! How do we receive this strength to stand?
