Hear... And Be Healed

HEAR…AND BE HEALED!– Father God wants us healed, healthy and whole. He desires “shalom” (completeness, wholeness, nothing-broken-nothing-missing) for each of His beloved children. How do we experience and walk in this shalom? Did you know that “hearing” is a key, vital part to it all – not only what you hear but also how you hear? The Bible tells us that,Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.The people came to Jesus to “hear and be healed.” Find out more as Healing School 102 begins! Rise and be healed in the Name of Jesus! "Surely, certainly, truly, verily, firmly, without a doubt, indeed He (Jesus) has borne, lifted, carried away, taken away, cast away and erased our griefs, sicknesses, illnesses, anxieties, maladies, diseases and calamities, and carried, borne the burden so that others might be free, and transported our sorrows, pain, anguish and affliction… the chastisement needful to obtain peace (shalom), well-being, completeness, fulfillment, wholeness, soundness, health, safety, calmness, rest and quiet, and a restored relationship with God and others, for us was upon Him, and with His stripes, wounds and blows we are healed, mended, cured, repaired and made whole!". (An expanded translation of Isaiah 53:4-5)

Jesus, The Triumphal Entry and The Money-Changers

JESUS, THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY & THE MONEY-CHANGERS – Palm Sunday is celebrated around the world. What can the Scriptures teach us in relation to this event that applies to our present-day lives? It turns out, a lot! The Scriptures, as always, are full of relevant and timely truths to help us live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God. Come join us! This account is one of the few places where the Gospels record that Jesus' glory is recognized on earth. Jesus boldly rode as the King of peace, and the crowd gladly joined him. But these same people would bow to political pressure and desert him in just a few days. Today we celebrate this event on Palm Sunday. That day should remind us to guard against superficial acclaim for Christ. (Life Application Study Bible) “If the Lord Jesus were to show up in our house of worship, what changes would He make?” (Warren Wiersbe)

Be Strong In The Lord

BE STRONG IN THE LORD! – According to numerous Scriptures, Christianity is intended to be lived from a position of strength (God's strength in our human weakness). We are to “pass through” the Valley of Baca (Weeping) and we are to go “from strength to strength” (Ps. 84:5-6)! How do we do this? What are the Biblical keys? And, what place does “joy” play in it? Why does God tell us to “be strong in the Lord”? What does that entail? Find out this Sunday, you don’t want to miss it! Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. (Isaiah 12:2-3) Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around. (Proverbs 13:12, The Message)

A STUDY OF DIVINE HEALING – An Examination of 1 Peter 2:24

To receive divine healing from God it is important that we have revelation knowledge of His Word (Romans 10:17), as opposed to man’s opinions, theories, or traditions (Mark 7:7-8). Some would say that 1 Peter 2:24, “by Jesus’ stripes you were healed” is only speaking of “spiritual” healing and not physical healing. But what do the Scriptures say and clearly teach? Join us for another powerful session of Healing School! “These Scriptures make it certain that Christ made provision in His atonement for the bodies of His followers. Healing for the body is manifestly a Gospel provision; and its Author alone can revoke it. Of course, unbelief will deprive any individual of this Gospel provision.” (The Worrell New Testament) Expanded translation of Matthew 8:17& I Peter 2:24: “Jesus Himself laid hold of, received, accepted and took (in order to carry away and remove) our feebleness of body and mind, our disease, infirmity, sickness, frailty and weakness, and Jesus carried away, removed, took up, bore and lifted with the idea of removal our maladies, disabilities, diseases, infirmities and sicknesses... and by His bleeding stripe, His bruise, His wound we were healed, cured and made whole.”

From Strength to Strength

GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH! - There’s a kind of person, a certain kind of Christian, who “passes through Baca” – the Valley of Weeping and Tears. In fact, they actually go from “strength to strength”! How do they do it? What do they do? What are the Biblical principles? People often do not realize that Christianity is supposed to be lived from a position of strength, not weakness (actually supernatural strength in our human weakness). Find out how this Sunday. We’ll look at 7 key principles! Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. (Amplified Bible)
