Power From On High

POWER FROM ON HIGH! – When Jesus ascended into Heaven, He did not leave us helpless. He sent power from on high! How well do you know the Person of the Holy Spirit? How is your prayer life? Could you use more power in your life? Join us this Sunday… “Powerful. When is the last time someone used that word to describe you? It doesn’t make sense that Almighty God would have children characterized by fear and insecurity. He put His Spirit in us so we could be known for our power (Acts 1:8; 2 Tim. 1:7). Sadly, most believers and churches are known for talent or intellect rather than supernatural power. What’s worse is that we’re okay with it. Could it be that we’ve forgotten the One who distinguishes us from every religion and cult in the world?” (Francis Chan, Forgotten God) “Both the public ministry of Jesus in the Gospels and the public ministry of the church in Acts begin with a life-changing encounter with the Spirit… The Book of Acts is the story of the disciples receiving what Jesus received in order to do what Jesus did.” (Spirit-filled Life Study Bible)

The Fire of Desire

THE FIRE OF DESIRE – Did you ever stop to think that one of the main keys to releasing the anointing, to having an “out-flow” of the Holy Spirit, is a strong “desire.” Desire is a vitally important ingredient of spiritual growth and being used by God to touch people with His love and power. God tells us to “desire” spiritual gifts. Would God tell us to desire something that it wasn’t His will for us to have? A lot of times our biggest problem is we don’t desire, we don’t ask. Find out more… You do not have because you do not ask. (James 4:2, TLV) Ps 37.4 TPT Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.

If Anyone Thirst...

IF ANYONE THIRST… Thirst. One of the most acute of all desires. Everyone of us have it –physically and spiritually. Unfortunately, while many are quick to recognize physical thirst, they are sadly slow about recognizing spiritual thirst. However, it is a key in walking in a fulfilled, God-oriented life and in having an out-flow of the Holy Spirit! Are you thirsty? Find out more this Sunday… “The popular gospel of this day is the laughing-stock of Hell; it dare neither damn the sinner, nor sanctify the saint.” – Catherine Booth

Follow After Love

FOLLOW AFTER LOVE!– Whoever you are, you are a minister. Wherever you are, you have a ministry. Look at your life as, “I am a minister of Jesus Christ.” What are the Scriptural keys to having an “out-flow”of the Holy Spirit, being a blessing to those you come in contact with, and releasing the anointing? We will look at them – especially “following after love.” We want to be conduits - not containers! Find out more… Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire this love [make it your aim, your great quest]; and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts), especially that you may prophesy (interpret the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching). (1 Cor. 14:1, Amplified) “… the love of God has been poured out in our hearts and still floods them through the agency of the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Rom. 5:5, Wuest)

Jesus Heals Today

JESUS HEALS TODAY!– We all know that Jesus healed in New Testament times, but the Good News is that He still heals today! He has not changed. He is the same. God loves you and desires that you be whole – spirit, soul and body. Healing is offered to you today. Physical - and emotional - healing has been made available through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Come and find out more… “Jesus Himself laid hold of, received, accepted and took (in order to carry away and remove) our feebleness of body and mind, our disease, infirmity, sickness, frailty and weakness, and Jesus carried away, removed, took up, bore and lifted with the idea of removal our maladies, disabilities, diseases, infirmities and sicknesses... and by His bleeding stripe, His bruise, His wound we were healed, cured and made whole.” (Expanded translation of Matthew 8:17 and I Peter 2:24)
