A Study of Divine Healing: An Examination of Isaiah 53:4-5

A STUDY OF DIVINE HEALING: An Examination of Isaiah 53:4-5 – Some would say that physical healing is not in Christ's atoning work on the Cross. But… what do the Scriptures say? After all, that’s what counts. God's Word is the final authority. When you study the Scriptures for themselves it becomes very clear: God's will is healing and health. Join us as we study the Word of God on this vital and important subject. It could change your life… Faith comes by hearing… “However you see Jesus in the 53rd of Isaiah, you are seeing Him in the last 24 hours of His earthly life, bearing whatever is spoken so the reader need not bear them.” (C. H. Spurgeon) “He was made sick for men as He was made sin for them. The idea is that He became the sick offering as well as the sin offering for man… He did not personally experience all the sicknesses and diseases, but He became sick in the sense of becoming an offering for sickness. He made atonement for sin and all its effects. Both sin and sickness were a part of the one curse, and both became a part of the one redemption. Christ atoned for and made provision for sickness to be healed, as well as for sin to be forgiven. (Dake’s Reference Bible)

The Rod, The Staff... The Comfort

Yahweh-Rohi, your Shepherd-Lord, wants to bring you into a place where, even though you walk through “the valley of the shadow of death,” you fear no evil and are comforted by His rod and staff. How does this come about? What are His rod and staff? What do they do? How do they work? When you feel like times are tough, life is hard, and you want to give up, you can confidently say, “The Lord is with me! I will fear no evil! His rod and His staff they comfort me!” How well do you know the Shepherd and His care?“This is a life that few Christians ever fully enjoy.” (Phillip Keller) “God wants us to be assured that we can trust Him to act in our best interest no matter what the situation… You need to get to know God so well that no one can talk you out of His goodness towards you.” (Andrew Wommack, The Nature of God)

Show Us The Father

SHOW US THE FATHER! (Healing School): Faith begins where the will of God is known. How do we know, for sure, that God's will is healing? We look at Jesus, the perfect, full expression of the will of the Father. Jesus said, “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.” When we see Jesus, we see the will of God. That is clear and plain in Scripture. Find out more in this week’s Healing School lesson! Prayer for the sick and hurting in each service. God loves you and wants you healed! “One reason God can be so easily discredited is because people don’t know Him by His Word. The only way you can truly know anything about God is through the Bible. Everybody on the earth has an opinion about what God is like and what He will do. But the only thing He gave us to know Him – and the only source that is truly reliable – is His written Word. “Most Christians don’t read God’s Word on a regular basis. They just get a little here and there – maybe some from a preacher on TV and a little on Sunday morning from their church. but that is not going to be enough to make a real difference in their life, and specifically in their understanding of God and His nature.” (Andrew Wommack, The Nature of God)
