Our attachment to the gospel involves answering 3 questions:

1. Are you in awe of the promise of the gospel?

When we explore the scripture we see: 

  • The continuity of the gospel.

  • The consistency of the gospel.

  • The character of the gospel.

2. Are you attached to the person of the gospel?

Jesus is the person of the gospel based on:

  • Prophecy
  • His position
  • His pedigree


Jesus had the right pedigree from a

  • Human perspective

  • Heavenly perspective

3.  Are you aware of your position with regard to the gospel?

This awareness of Christ's Lordship should involve your:

  • Pursuits

  • Pleasures

  • Possessions

  • Profession

  • Proclamation

  • Planet

  • Place of worship
