Romans 1:1

1.     We are called to be bondservants of Jesus Christ.

    a.     This is a position of great honor.

    b.     Bondservant = slave.

2.     A bondservant serves exclusively.

    a.     We are to be in utter submission to what pleases God, not what pleases anybody else.

    b.     We are to be absolutely surrendered and totally devoted to Christ.

    c.      We are to serve willingly.

3.     A bondservant is bought with a price.

4.     A bondservant of God will have a burden for people.

5.     A bondservant has a specific purpose.
