 "The Word of Victory"

John 19:30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

 Tetelestai= This Greek word speaks of something being finished, completed, or accomplished.

As we observe this cry from the cross we see:

1.   Completion

Christ was declaring that:

• He had fulfilled the words foretold by the prophets.

• He had finished the work of salvation.

2.    Conquest

            On the cross Christ gained victory over:

• Society

• Sin

• Satan

3.     Commitment

This involved Christ's:

• Obedience to the Father
