What Are You Waiting For?
No one likes to wait. Especially for things we really need or think we really want. Fortunately, in our culture, we don't have to wait too long for most things. As a result, we are addicted to instant gratification. Our expectations are high... higher than we think. Unfortunately, this has a negative affect on our experience with prayer, because often times, God's answer to us is... wait. However, if we become the kind of people who learn to actively wait on God, we will discover riches beyond our expectations as well.

Understanding Prayer
When it comes to faith, there's no more critical ingredient than prayer. When our prayers are answered, we are elated and our faith grows. When they don’t seem to be answered, especially after many prayers, our faith can waiver to the point of losing faith all together. What should we expect from prayer? How does God answer prayer?

Our Response to Life
Everyone has things in their lives that keep them from being all they could be. Sometimes we need more than our own skill and experience to overcome those things. We need power. The kind of power that comes from God. Jesus said this kind of power only comes through prayer. Not the reactive, popcorn prayers that we're all good at, but the proactive prayers of people who are in a vibrant relationship with God.

Faith in God's Future
Barrenness can relate to many things in life. Such as relationships and careers. What is barren in our lives? Faith can be limited by our paradigms. God's words are trustworthy even in barrenness, as with Abraham. Faith in God or faith in doubts. Where do we put our faith in?

Making a Name
The tower of Babel. Pride comes before the fall. We think that somehow we can craft a life that is better without God. When we seek to make a name for ourselves, we are left with nothing of God. Bringing man back to the way we were made by the name of Jesus (Acts 2:1-13). We are at our best when we are a reflection of Jesus!
