Steps of Faith Lead to Worship
Through recounting the story of Jacob, we see how despite a difficult life full of scheming and tension, grief and sorrow, Jacob could still worship God. God had been utterly faithful to Jacob despite everything. We must never rule ourselves out of God's promise and plan because of our circumstances. He still calls us to worship Him.

Steps Of Faith Lead to Future Blessings
Through the life of Isaac in Genesis we see how Abraham's faith led to blessings for Isaac and Isaac's faith led to future blessings for his own child. Both Abraham and Isaac taught their children to walk with God, to worship Him and understand and know God's word. Burt we also see the consequences of trying to sort things out ourselves, not relying on God to bless us!

Abraham is once again held up as a great man of faith in Hebrews 11. Abraham had a great calling on his life such as to be the father of nations. He had seen God's faithfulness to him in many ways as he had walked with Him. So when times of testing came Abraham trusted God absolutely. Do we trust God in the little things so that when times of testing come to us we trust him in the bigger things?

Noah was commended in the "Hall of Fame" of Hebrews for having faith in God. He demonstrated his faith by his trust and obedience. Like Noah, we are called to have faith in God and likewise, to demonstate that faith by trusting in HIm and being obedient to Him.

Through the story of Enoch we see how our faith in knowing that God exists and walking with Him day by day through our lives pleases God. Each day we walk through a battle ground and each time we choose God it pleases Him. Are we living a life pleasing to God?

God calls us to bring an acceptable sacrifice. He sees what we bring and how we bring it - our thoughts and our heart as we give to Him. Sometimes we may hold back from bringing our sacrifice - what is stopping you? Is it fear or a feeling of inadequacy? Bringing an acceptable sacrifice takes steps of faith! Go on - step out!
