Followers of Jesus in the first century lived under the pressure and persecution of a "state" or government that would not acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord! They were under constant pressure to compromise their moral and ethical position. They were faced with daily temptations to declare their allegiance to some other "lord". They found themselves on the "margins" of society at large - not having political clout or influence. Does any of this sound familiar?

Ultimately, Jesus Christ is going to set the record straight. All the forces of evil and of hell itself that have aligned themselves against His chuch, His name, and His people will meet the judegment of God. While texts about the wrath of God are difficult to read, they assure us that God is indeed "just" and that ONE DAY the record is going to get straight! ONE DAY the final victory will be declared and Jesus will be exalted as King!

Revelation 15-16 is one of those difficult yet comforting texts. God will one day judge the nations! Evil will finally be done away with - and our prayer all these years will be answered: "Your kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven!"

Hold on! 'Cause the King is on His way!
