Central to all human relationships is the foundation of mutual respect and honour. This "valuing" from one person to another may be seen no more clearly than in the relationship between the generations. When parents bless and honour their children, and when children in turn show reverence and respect toward, not only their parents, but ALL older people, it lays the foundation for a society where strong relationships are the norm. Rip respect and honour from the culture, and chaos and anarchy soon reign. Who would have thought that disobedience to parents could carry such far-reaching effects ... but as goes the family, so goes the culture...
