Being the Light
There should be an obvious contrast between life of God’s children and the life of the world. The Word of God teaches the contrast should be as noticeable as night and day. But does the world see us living in that light, or do the see us living in darkness? Either walking in the light will keep you from darkness, or darkness will keep you from waking in the light. The choice is yours and it is a daily choice you must make.
Standing Before the Light
To stand before the Lord is going to be like standing before a divine x-ray machine. The Lord’s piercing light will expose every part and aspect of our lives. There will not be a single place where darkness can hide. We will stand before His light and He will see everything we’ve ever done. The Lord is not going to see just the physical works we have done, He is going to see and expose the very motive of why we did them. All that we have hidden shall one Day be revealed. The things we have done in the body will come back to us, whether good or worthless.
Shining the Light
If God dwells in unapproachable light, and Jesus’ light is like the lightning and the sun in all it’s brilliance, and that light is in us, then how bright is our light? How bright are we shining? Does the world see our light? Pastor Michael teaches that we as God's children ARE the light and we ARE to shine with the light of the gospel radiating from our faces, witnessing and testifying about the Light and calling for those living in darkness to come and be transformed by the Light.
Witness to the Light
Pastor Michael teaches about being a witness to the light. Darkness hates the light, it hates Christ, it hates the Christian and it hates the truth. Why? Because we testify against it, we are witnesses to the light, witnesses to the truth. Fear not, the greater the darkness, the brighter the light will shine.
Understanding the Light
What better way to start the New Year than “Living in the Light”? For this upcoming 2012 year, we are going to dive into this subject of “light.” We are going to look at: Understanding the Light, Sharing the Light, Knowing the Light, Shining the Light, Walking in the Light, Being the Light, Judged by the Light, and Radiating the Light.
